In the morning of September 23, 2011, FTSE100 fell below 5000. In 2012, the highest value was 5.586 points. The index is based on the stock prices of the 100 most capitalized companies listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE). The total capitalization of the members of the FTSE100 list is 80% of the total LSE volume.
